My Aunt’s Sauce from Scratch

Hi friends!

My Aunt Lucy recently sent me photos of her sauce making, and I thought it would be neat to share it with you! Pasta sauce making is an age-old family tradition, and I love how each family has their own unique process. My Aunt Lucy grows and processes her own tomatoes from her home garden - its her labour of love!

She picks her tomatoes when they’re still green and puts them in the basement for three weeks until they’re fully ripened. Once they’re ripe, she makes the sauce! She makes batches of sauce all summer long and freezes them to last over the winter months. Take a look at the photos she sent me!

I hope you have enjoyed this small snippet into the family tradition of sauce making from my Aunt Lucy and that it inspires you to pick up sauce making as a tradition in your own family! It’s a labour of love, but absolutely worth every second of time invested!

Until Next Time,

Jackie
